Kylie Minogue hasn`t had a "fairytale" love life
The `All The Lovers` hitmaker - who has been dating Spanish model Andres Velencoso since October 2008 - has got "more realistic" about relationships as she`s gotten older, but she hates it when people say she has been unlucky in love.
She explained: "I think I`m more realistic, partly because of all the headlines that are all about my failed love life. `Unlucky in love` - God I hate that pun!
"I don?` actually feel unlucky in it; I feel that it just hasn`t been textbook fairytale."
The Australian pop princess - who recently released her eleventh studio album `Aphrodite` - admits she is a "serial monogamist" when it comes to relationships.
Kylie - who has previously romanced a host of famous men, including French actor Olivier Martinez and late INXS frontman Michael Hutchence - added in an interview with Attitude magazine: "I`m a serial monogamist for a start. I do fall. Sometimes it`s good and sometimes it isn`t, but right now it`s quite good.
"I`ve learnt something from all of my relationships. I don`t know. I just don`t consider it a failure, that`s all."
The 42-year-old star recently revealed she would opt for a low-key ceremony if she ever decides to tie the knot.
She explained: "I was never one of those girls who fantasised about getting married. I can get very excited about a wedding, but I would probably just elope and do it really quietly.
"The thought of getting married now is. Well, it would be such a debacle trying to organise it!"
